University of Rochester users of Sibley's website will now be able to connect to remote resources, such as
Oxford Music Online (i.e.
New Grove) or e-journals, from home without needing to log in to VPN. Thanks to help from the River Campus Libraries, anyone with a valid UR NetID will be able to access these electronic resources from anywhere just by clicking on the link. If you are trying to access a restricted-access resource from somewhere other than the UR network (that is, from on campus), you will be prompted for your NetID login.

If you need a reminder of your NetID username and password, just go to the NetID
homepage. When off-campus, you must access the library resources from either
Sibley's website or the River Campus Libraries website to be prompted to login--do not bookmark databases and e-journals directly.
You will still need
VPN to access any audio/video streaming source, such as
Naxos,
DRAM, or course reserves.
